Hailed by many as the worst film ever made, by some as an example of bad filmmaking at its best, and by an intrepid few as the greatest film of all time, Ed Wood's1959 sci-fi/horror mashup is understood by most to be a modern classic, and if not - then at least a film that refuses to die.
The movie, as the phrase goes, "has it all". Zombies, invading aliens, hapless cops, a UFO specialist, and even a love story. It's as if every plot device ever imagined was thrown into a blender set to "pulp".
For the team at Sirc Michaels Productions, this is exactly the sort of project that arouses our interest. A film with a convoluted plotline, featuring characters and devices that cross several genres, with dialogue so stilted it's ready for Ringling Brothers? Count us in!
We are currently in the "pre-production" phase of this project, which includes developing the script, deciding on where and how the show will be presented, and then gathering our team. We've not yet moved much past the first two steps in this process, and already PLAN 9 Fever is gripping the team! Who knows what may happen between now and when the show hits the Sin City stage?!
